I'm thinking of taking DS to this. He's 3 this week and there seems to be a really well fitted out gymnastics club in Falkirk near where I live. Does anyone else send their kiddies to this sort of activity and do thehave a good time. He's dead good at headstands, climbs anything and does forward rolls till he's dizzy. I think his energy would be put to good use at this sort of thing.

Any advice, much appreciated.

Ds loves gymnastics - he has been going since he was 18 months and it's been such a benefit - it's a proper gymnastics club that trains up to Olympic level, so is more structured than something like tumble tots, and he's learnt much more than the actual gymnastics - things like discipline on the equipment, waiting your turn etc. Dd has started as well now and she loves it too. Ds is going to go to proper classes in September after school.

My dd goes to a gymnastic academy. She is 5. It took her a while to get into it and she does enjoy it when she gets there. Their classes are mostly about fun and playing until they reach 5 and then they tend to be more structured. I've kept her down this year as I don't think she'd enjoy going if they got strict with her and if the time comes where she has to move up and doesn't want to then I will stop the classes.

It's run by russian gymnastics and they win alot of competitions and stuff which I don't think dd will be interested in.

It's a bit of fun at the moment and as long as it stays that way I'll keep sending her.

My niece goes to a really good club up near Brechin. She loves it; I think there is quite a good junior competition scene in Scotland.

They are very short of judges a club level though and my sister went on a weekend course.
