How awful...

Fimbo · 16/08/2005 15:10

. TBH I would be wary of spending £600 thru' Ebay. Disgraceful though.

Blimey !

Good warning.

I'll make sure I never give money to someone with no paypal account and no feedback unless it's face to face.

Nemo1977 · 16/08/2005 15:13

awful isnt it. I have spent £450 on ebay on a camcorder but paid via paypal so it was covered.

very interesting nemo.
I just checked my e bay shop this morning and someone is trying to sell mobile phones using my paypal name. Then got an e mail to say someone has changed my e mail address.
Could be the same person.
Am trying to sort i tout.
Have ended listings early only to find they have listed more phones into my shop.

I would spend £600 (or even more) on ebay for things..........but only to someone with some good ebay 'history' and where paypal payment was allowed.

Nemo1977 · 16/08/2005 16:20

Tatler thats a nightmare hope you get it sorted...unfotunately a lot of ebay accounts can be vunerable to some horrible people. I keep getting fake emaisl about bluetooth mobiles I am selling..which of course I am not.

Nemo1977-I also recieved an e mail from e bay to say i had sold £100 worth of phones and to send invoice.
I contacted the buyer to warn them not to send any money .
Idon't understand,i suspose these people then send an e mail to the buyer to ask them to send the money to an alternative address/account.
Very confusing and worrying.
