I am so excited at the prosect of working 9-5, no nights and weekends off just had to post. I will also be off both Christmas and New Year for the first time since 1983

My kids are looking forward to it as is DH. He will still be working shifts but usually when he was off I was working at weekends and festive season.

How will I cope

BTW - never have managed to get a good Christmas name. Am hopeless at creativity

I actually need to expand my wardrobe and buy more 'fat clothes. I am hoping that with regular hours I will actually be able to commit to rejoin weightwatchers and lose about 3 stone! Years of hiding my blubber in 'blues' at work have taken their toll.

Congrats, mears! Now you'll get to celebrate Hogmanay in proper style - w/some bubbly and 'Chewin' the Fat' on telly .
