negative slogans on boys clothes

Just wondered if anyone else felt the same. I have two boys and I am becoming a frustrated shopper. Does anyone else get annoyed that clothes for boys often have negative slogans on them eg Little monster terror etc. Where girls clothes say Little princess but boys would be cheeky monkey, or it it just me? If they have to put wording on whats wrong with little ray of sunshine?

But girls have stuff liek LITTLE MADAM and WANNABE WAG too

all equally vile

dont do slogans is my advice

I refuse to let DS wear 'little monster' / 'cheeky monkey' tops and refuse to let DD wear 'little princess' tops. And if they get given any as a gift they are rapidly exchanged for something plain.

I am mean.

I steer clear of these but I find that there is less of a choice for boys clothes and therefore the market is narrowed further by the use of slogans. Tends to be the cheaper clothes, supermarkets. Not seen wannabe wag

I have a big problem with this. Why would I label my son like this? Well I don't. I source his clothes quite preciously, we have gifts from dear family members that he wears, when he is with them.

I would never have believed how much I would enjoy dressing up ds after 2 dds. But I do.

He is not likely to be seen in an ASBO t shirt.

My girls wouldn't wear wannabe wag either. It's not about money, just taste and a desire not to label children negatively.

Yep they are rubbish.

Unbelievable though the number of people who think they are funny.

TheCrackFox · 13/06/2010 23:01

I hate them. I have never let my boys off with bad behaviour with "boys will be boys" crap and I don't want it on their clothing.

Nat33 · 13/06/2010 23:04

There is obviously a market for the "oh so funny slogans" as many shops just cant do anything plain. Have to say I am very particular what my boys wear.
