Why are some people so revoltingly smelly ??!!

I went down to our local shops today 1st thing, before it got too hot .... yet the "variety" of disgusting, revolting, gag-making smells emanating from other people's unwashed bodies was astonishing. In a short half hour stroll, I came across 6-7 incidences. These ranged from having to queue up at close quarters behind someone sour & stinky - to getting a noseful (more than once) of something very unpleasant just by simply walking past someone on the pavement.

Do people really have so little self-awareness and/or so little disregard for personal hygiene. I really do find this so offensive ..... and while you should be aware of this at any time of the day, I would have a little more understanding at the end of a working day, but this was 1st thing !

Thank God I don't have to use public transport of any sort. To my mind it's simple ..... it's been very hot, therefore you might have to shower more often, you sweat more, therefore you may have to change your clothes more frequently. Why are some people incapable of following this simple approach ? I would be mortified if other people smelt me !

Grrrrr ..... rant over.

I swear by the time I'd rushed to my baby group this morning I must have smelled I had a bath last night, washed this morning, covered myself in deoderant and perfume.... but by the time I got there I was just a dripping sweat monster.. I hopw I didn't offend anybody!

One man on the bus on the way home last week actually made me gag and retch! He was mentally disabled though, therefore probably not the poor guy's fault.

Breastfeeding and being pregnant maked inbetween my breasts smell unpleasant!

Ew @ admitting that, but it's true!!

Or forget the doodles, which imo always smell after a while, and buy more open leather sandals.

Oh, how I long for a pair of cheepy Birkenstocks!

I used to work with a bloke who's breath literally smelled like he'd been chewing on a turd. How he had kids, I'll never know.

I shower everyday, sometimes twice a day as I've always been worried by being smelly.

That should've read cheesy

I have thrush under my arms at the moment and can't use deodorant, so I'm probably not as sweet-smelling as I ought to be - despite the fact that I bath every night and shower every morning.

I promise I'll stand downwind of everyone though, so I don't offend.

Oh, you most definitely can [sore and itchy emoticon required]

It's worth thinking about though - it's not always the case that the smelly individual you're sitting next to on the train has no self-awareness or regard for personal hygiene. There's more than one explanation for any situation.
