Does anyone else worry themselves stupid?

Perhaps I am a total lunatic, but does anyone else worry constantly?

Everytime I go out without my kids, I worry about whether I will see them again. After a long drive, I breathe a huge sigh of relief that we've made it in one piece. If someone rings me early in the morning or late at night, I panic because I think it must be bad news.

I'm going to visit a friend in a few weeks and I am flying with my dd. I'm scared stiff about getting on the plane and leaving my other 2 at home.

Tell me I'm not the only one like this, pleaseeeee!

It was a really sad poem. I must try and get hold of a copy and then you'll see what I mean. It'll have you in tears.

I've found the poem on the Rugrats website. This is it for anyone who's interested.

(When she was first admitted to the hospital, Melinda kept a diary. Shortly before her death, the last thing she has written was a special poem for Chuckie):

My Sweet Little Chuckie ~
Though I must leave you behind me,
this poem will tell you where you always can find me.
When a gentle wind blows, that's my hand on your face.
And when the tree gives you shade, that's my sheltering embrace.
When the sun gives you freckles, that's me tickling my boy.
When the rain wets your hair, those are my tears of joy.
When the long grass enfolds you, that's me holding you tight.
When the Whippoorwill sings, that's me whispering, 'Night night.'.

angiel i know the episode you mean. it's when the other rugrats are all on about mother,s day and chuckie is sad because he feels left out and the poem makes him feel better because his mom is saying things like when he feels the wind or sees flowers or something it will be her can,t remember exactly but something along those lines. i'm sure my daughter has the video but as we are moving house this week it's probably been packed away. if i can get hold of it i will post for you. it gives me a lump in my throat too so you're not the only one.

this is from a fellow worrier, my husband and i are going away for a weekend later this year(first time without kids and eldest is 13!) and i am worried that the plane will crash etc etc, when my kids go on trips i feel ill until they come back, i could go on...

Hi mmm

Just wondered if you had managed to get yourself an appointment at the Doctors yet. Don't put it off and let us know how you get on.

Angie1 I confess to not having made an appointment yet. I fully intend to but thought I'd wait till I got back to Britain at the beginning of July.I find it all rather tricky in French not to sound like some bumbling fool since the last 2 times and I know I have a sympathetic gp in Scotland who always sorts me out. I'm still scared but coping. And of course I'll let you know.Thanks.
