English classes for au-pair

We have taken the plunge and made an offer to an au-pair from Germany, whose English is pretty good but she does want to improve. We haven't had an au-pair before - does anyone know how to find out about English classes she could go to? They would need to be very cheap, as we're paying her £60 pw pocket money.

Where do you live? Some colleges offer courses pretty much for free if you agree to be taught by trainee teachers doing their celta - this is mostly in london though I s'pose but it's worth asking about

If her English is already quite good though the free teacher training courses might be too easy for her (almost definately will be, in fact).

In most cities the local college / tech will do English classes - don't know how cheap they are but definately worth a look.

Our local college does English as a Foreign Language for about £65 a term (we're in Surrey). We recently got an Au PAir too and agreed to pay for the first term, but them that we'd pay only half for the second term - and she'd pay the other half (we've fixed her up with cleaning/ babysitting jobs with our friends to earn the extra cash! Seems fair enough to me...

Thanks for that - we're in SW London - the Business English thing sounds interesting, as she is a business studies student in Germany.
