I see from the Children's Walks thread that there are a few of you. I've been caching for a year now - thanks to a recommendation on Mumsnet. It started as a way to get my lazy children out and about but has now taken over my life - the children have been sidelined!

I am HouseOfDragons, of course

We've been geocaching for about 3 years now. The kids enjoy it, and offering to take them on a 'treasure hunt' is much more enticing that suggesting we 'go for a walk'!

Glad to see there are some more MN geocachers.

I know this is a couple of months old now, but have only just given Geocaching a go in the last couple of weeks and my (just tuned) 8y loves it. Have just found our 8th cache this evening - a quickie one close to where she does piano. And had a great day out int he Peaks this weekend geocaching through the rocks and heather and found a couple there too. I am using my iPhone.

We have also found one Geocoina nd one travel bug in our caches, an have placed them in new caches ready to be found again.

Do you always log in when you go searching?

So far I have logged all attemots, whether found or not found. Have also posted photos when found too s noticed others do that - and we found some photos of nearby locaitions quite useful.

not found any coins, DH has been in charge of the technical stuff, so not sure if logged any, teh two we've found have been local to us
