Schadenfreude's a good one. How about Weltanschauung if we're going all Germanic? Much more exciting than world view, and the devil to spell if you've been drinking.

Twiglett - I love discombobulate, is it a real word or a 'made up' one?

I say gosh quite often and usually get funny looks for it . I did read an awful lot of Enid Blyton as a child .

Sticking with the old fashioned theme:

piffle
hussy
jesebell
toodlepip
perambulator
simply charming (with the emphasis on the 'ar')

I call my son Joe-decahedron sometimes, Dino. If you have a son called Joe and like the dodecahedron word I recommend it.

discombobulate is a real word .. means something like 'to confuse other people' ... it just feels really nice in your mouth, doesn't it?

OMG Twiglett - I was just looking at the 'invent a word' thread and was thinking of posting 'discomfabulate' then I looked at this one and saw your discombobulate - spooky

maybe I've heard your word before and it bubbled through the grey cells in a corrupted version
