Bootsales, what is the going rate for stuff???

I am doing a bootsale and have loads of clothes in very good condition to sell.
What sort of prices shall I ask for kids tops, trousers, shoes etc. Also things like adults jeans, shirts etc. Would be so grateful as I want to get as much as poss. but also want to come home empty handed!!!

couple of quid a piece depending on name brands of course.

shoes a bit more.... maybe £4?!

ive only ever bought baby stuff, and usualyl get vests for 10/20pence each and sleepsuits at 50p each and the odd outfit at approx £2.50 (next)

we were desperate to get rid of it so reduced loads of thingsd a lot - but no clothes

children stuff ranges from 5p to 2pounds generally. i bought a loads of dresses for dd3, for 50p each, one is a Diesal dress the other week.

If you hang clothes up they tend to go for more (dresses/outfits etc).

Also sort vests etc into age groups, it makes your stall look classier!

I probably wouldn't pay more than 50p for sleepsuits and £1-£2 for outfits TBH, that's what they are in charity shops.

I don't very often pay more than about 50p per item for kids things, occasionally £1 if it's particularly nice.

Hat off to you. I can never be bothered and find it easier putting things on Ebay.

Sorry Blossom I have been off line. Yes you do but they have a free day and 5p day every now and again so I collect it all up photograph it and weigh it so when a 'special' day comes up I then whack it on. Depending on what you sell, I do make a profit and really cannot be bothered to stand at a car boot sale.

I find I get a better price through ebay. My SIL has a vintage clothes shop on ebay so I get her sell my stuff for me. £10 for a dress and about £5 for a top.
