Saw them on Glastonbury last night - is it always just the two of them? What's their best album?

TIA

All I can hear is the ruddy frog! kids love it, I like shooting it!!

HappyHuggy · 26/06/2005 00:51

o luuurve shooting the frog.... cause it plays a bit of the music at the end

kcemum · 26/06/2005 00:53

like it really....specially when it squeaks when it bounces!!

dropinthe · 26/06/2005 01:07

I really enjoyed Coldplay-I love the Speed of Sound and I still love their old stuff-I think its because when I had my first ds I used to sing him Yellow and other songs from Parachutes-they just remind me of the magic of becoming a mother for the first time-sometimes a bit bland but other times, really magical-Chris Martin has a lovely voice and is just so natural!

kcemum · 26/06/2005 01:09

Dropinthe have you got x & Y ? if so is it as good as their last album?

moondog · 26/06/2005 01:13

JanH,you're a groover aren't you? (Considering you were an adult in NY when Lennon was shot!)
White Stripes are ex husband and wife actually. He has just married the model Karen Elson.
Coldplay are ok,but I listened to the lyrics of 'Speed of Sound' today in the car.
Embarassingly bad. My 12 year old niece could do better.

Janh · 26/06/2005 01:16

moondog, they aren't brother and sister? Whoa!

(I only groove by association. Kids are great for that!)

flashingnose · 26/06/2005 01:17

Are you sure, moondog?

moondog · 26/06/2005 01:20

Hey! I'm no hipster! (lol at 'grooving by association'. I'm stealing that and I aint giving no credits!)Happier with the Grateful Dead and Frank Zappa but I do know the siblings thing was a wind up.

astonished · 26/06/2005 01:21

Kasabian rocked too, very good Glasto set.

wheresmyfroggy · 26/06/2005 01:21

Just googled it and they aren't brother/sister they just used to pretend they were

Janh · 26/06/2005 01:21

"Meg White, the drummer for the White Stripes, a blues-rock duo from Detroit, served as maid of honor. Though she and White have claimed to be siblings, court records have suggested they were married for four years before divorcing in 2000.

Whether it's White's first marriage or not, it is the first for Elson."

Well he's been a busy bee then - didn't he break Renee Zelweger's (sp) heart before marrying Karen Elson?
