Can you recommend a website designer?

I would like a website for my childminding buisness. I could put the address in my adverts, prospective parents could have alook before they call me. They could download booking forms for my summer play club etc.
How much do you think it will cost and how long will it take?

DH says a few hundred from a business... it may be worth putting a card in your local news agent shop. Lots of amateurs could do what you want for fairly cheap & basic. I believe at least some mumsnetters do this for a living, but don't know if I'm allowed to name names...

Also try your local college - often students doing computer studies (of varying sorts - particulary web design - obviously ) 'need' to do something for their assessments for their courses - you'd probably get a good job from them, for a fraction of the price (and you'd be 'helping' them on their way to their new career).

why dont you try and do 1 yourself there easy ive done 1 for dd

I've been playing around with the free websites that starshaker uses after seeing her site (which I thought was fab BTW) You can register a domain name to them with co.uk or .com and they are surprisingly cheap and very easy to create (no html required it's a WYSIWYG - what you see is what you get, format)- it would definately be worth having a little go at creating a free one with them and then pay the $19.00 for the right name, don't seem to be awash with pop ups either!

I can't imagine it would be worth paying for an amazing website for what you need it for, purely information not ecommerce!

tried web page designer search but I could only find co's you have to ring, not v good for a web page designer I think.
