In the past week or so we have had posts from/about people who want (expect) to return their purchases/have their money back/exchange for something else because:
they bought a dog they now don't want
bought a computer, used it at home and don't like the webcam quality
bought a jacket and tried to return it outside of stated refund policy timeframe
sold some gold for less than they should have, and now regret it
Many of the incidents above seemed to be based on the consumer not getting what they wanted - but is usually based on the fact they either purchased impulsively or without adequate research.
Should a vendor always put customer service as their top priority and refund money no matter how questionable the 'excuse' from the purchaser?
Should customers realise they can't reasonably expect the vendor to 'make good' for their mistakes, unless the item is 'not fit for purpose'?
Personally, makes me glad I'm not a vendor/seller.
