he was only 25 and due to get married in August. His friend in the car with him is in hospital with broken bones. I wish Andrew only had broken bones. A bus hit them from the side and Andrew took the brunt of it apparently as he was driving.
I just can't stop crying. I just keep seeing his face smiling at me and saying hello when he visted his mum.

We have all spent Xmas day together for the last 20 years as his parents live next door to my parents and my mum went to school with his dad. I've more or less grown up with him and his sister.

Crying, so I can't think of anything helpful to post.

So sorry helsi

Thanks everyone.
I just cannot stop crying. Trying to be ok but its hard - not letting dd see me upset as she wouldn't understand.
I just keep seeing his smiling face and trying to remember his voice.
His mum and dad went to hospital yesterday afternoon to identify him. He had a big bandage round his head but otherwise they said he looked peaceful. I just cannot get my around them having to see their own son lying on a mortuary slab - that image is haunting me.
Thanks though to everyone for your thoughts. I'm just going to try and get on with things.
I'll tell you what though - its made me put a lot of things into perspective!!

It's his funeral today at 3pm and I can't go. No staff and so I am needed here.

By all accounts its going to be packed out as he was a very very popular young man.

His head injuries were very bad and I take comfort in the fact he wouldn't have wanted to leave everyone but maybe compared to how he may have been if he had lived......you know what I'm trying to say....I hope.
