The first presenters I remember were Peter Purves, John Noakes and Lesley Judd with Petra and Shep. Then they got two cats, Jack and Jill and a pony called Rags. Then Percy Thrower made an Italian Sunken Garden (which got vandalised). Ah, those were the days.
