What can I put in the girls' party bags?

So far I have

mini cadbury thing
lolly pop
party blower thing
one of those pop-a-point pencils
and for the boys, a small cheap and nasty car. (20p jobs from the market)

Any other suggestions? What can I give the girls instead of cars? (And where can I get them?)

I know there's been a thread on goody bags recently, but can't find it!

places like Woolworths and Poundstretcher or Wilkinsons do cheap art/craft stuff like six mini pots of play dough for 99p which works for boys or girls or for girls only get a surprise bag for 99p from Claires accessories or look out for their special offers and you can get nice hair clips and bands or bracelets for little girls.
Good luck!

I did sunflower seeds for DS's birthday, but that was in April and I think they need to be planted by now, so that's a more seasonal suggestion.

I recently used : www.partydelights.co.uk/default.asp

i bought paper planes, crayons, mini colouring books and bubbles for the boys, and a mini teddy, fairy stickers, crayons and colouring books for the girls. i also got sweets from Woolworths - they all went down a storm.

hope that helps

I bought my kids a massive bag of fortune cookies from a chinese supermarket and thought they'd be great for party bags. My kids really think the fortunes will come true.

Got loads of stuff now - lots of sweets, very bad but will be less if my urge to eat them all gets the better of me. Found lots of good stuff in Woolies. Nice gel pens for £3 - 10 of them I think (or was it 12?)

Thanks for all your suggestions, I now feel I've done my maternal duty about the goody bags!

In case anyone else is reading this, we recently went to a party where we got a sand bucket instead of a bag
