Hi guys, I am looking for some help I am not very good at looking for web sites through the search engine but I am looking for a site that I can find the period that my dd's name originated from to look at other names from that time for my baby in my tummy

look at babynames.com - the origin should help with age.
a school friend of mine had the same initial as her sister & so she always opened all post addressed to miss c ... caused hassles, so we decided to ensure our dds had different initials...

Jessica is a Hebrew name - ie Jewish. Maybe you could look at other Hebrew names, such as Leah, for example.
Or as Jessica is a character in Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice, you could look at Shakespearean names, such as Nerissa and Portia (also Merchant of Venice) or Miranda, Beatrice, Rosalind or Juliet.

This site tells you in which decade a name was most popular... goes from 1900. Might have more info if you look closer. Fun site to play with anyway
