DH v cross.

Its like a toner I put on my hair between colourings at the hairdressers. Did it quickly last night when we had just got back from hols and didn't wash the tray properly and now its stained!

Any ideas?

Have you tried the normal bathroom cleaners???

Mum2Ela · 31/05/2005 09:43

Yes, DH was in there scrubbing this morning. It hasn't worked.

I kinda rekon that over time, due to the constant use of the shower, the stain will gradually become less obvious, but DH isn't thrilled about this prosepct and wants rid of it.

Do you think something like cillit bang (which I am scared to use) might work?

could you ask your hairdresser for that stuff they use to remove hair dye from your skin? Might work?

Mum2Ela · 31/05/2005 09:47

mancmum thats a good idea, I didn't know they did such a thing. May need some oif that for me anyway as my hands are yellow (didn't have any gloves).

I would try neat bleach. Pour it on and leave for half an hour.

anchovies · 31/05/2005 09:57

I'd bleach it too

Mum2Ela · 31/05/2005 09:57

Thanks Sparkler. I am going shopping when DS wakes up (eventually!) so will but some bleach then and try that. Failing that will ring the hairdressers! Its all over my pillowcase too. Am having such a good start to the week!

i would try bleach too

I don't usually buy bleach. Is there a special type, thick or thin? (is that how they come?!)

I would get thin bleach - or you may be able to get a "bathroom cleaner containing bleach"

SPARKLER1 · 01/06/2005 16:43

Did the bleach work?

SoupDragon · 01/06/2005 16:46

Try those magic white sponges you can get in Tescos (and, I assume elsewhere!)... hang on a mo... "Spontex Rub Out" is the sort I've got. They shift marks from my stupid white kitchen sink that even bleach doesn't shift.

fairydust · 01/06/2005 16:46

hairdresser's often use nail varnish remover to get dye of skin at the hairdressers -so maybe worth a try if the bleecvh hasn't worked

Mum2Ela · 01/06/2005 17:20

Hooray yes the bleach did work. Left it there for hours and hours and it did shift in the end! The hairdresser also recommended using hairspray for removing hair dye, just for fguture ref.

Thanks everyone. DH is now happy.
