PMSL about the comments about my postcode. What census are they working off?!

"Poorer singles and families in mixed tenure"
Hmm, actually, on my street all houses are occupied / owned by young couples, mainly professional workers as so close to the city centre.

"Properties are mainly semi-detached, terraced or flats and are owned outright, mortgaged or council houses. The typical property price is very low." Narrows it down! My 2 bed semi is on the market for £91950.00. Disgustingly expensive price IMO!

"Internet usage is low." Not according to the amount of time I'm on mumsnet!

Aha - wonderful google comes up trumps us usual:

"There are well over 250 primary schools in Northamptonshire. There are four different age ranges, which these schools cover:

4-11 years (known as Primary Schools)
4-7 years (known as Infant Schools)
7-11 years (known as Junior Schools)
4-9 years (in the Oundle and Thrapston area only; known either as Primary or Lower Schools)*"

I think the most 'reliable' information about areas/ages/income etc comes from Experian - but to get the information you need lots of money. They're the one that businesses use when deciding what products to sell/where to open new shops etc etc

Fasnicating date to read, DH got a copy of on of their reports Northamptonshire for the business use..

it's odd - this

"St Barnabas Church of England School Primary Wellingborough"

Is the information on the Ofsted page for particulary succesful school and colleges.......so the school next door is definitely called a primary school.........even though it only take infant age ranges [even more confused emoticon]

Apparently, I live in a predominantly coastal area - well, I guess I do, if you consider that being 20 miles inland is 'by the seaside, beside the sea!'

Quite accurate for ours although it says adults tend to be aged 45-85 and I am only 32! It's true that generally people of my age are not living in the surrounding houses though - I think most have children older than ours (secondary school age) or else they have young kids but are older parents.

this is the info for my village, what a load of crap!, we live in a small well kept village with an excellent primary school and most families here live in large period homes and are very well educated. there are hardly any local authority homes in our village, the only reason our homewas on the market cheap was because it was ex local authority, the average 3 bed houseround here goes for 250000, more in cambridge. sigh, god knows where they get the info from, upmystreet is a better one, im gonna put my mums postcode in, she lives in an affluent area on asmall through road, in a 300,000 home!
