I write for a local newspaper and described someone as a pillock in a jokey article (someone off the telly). But my News Ed didn't like pillock and told me to change it to plonker. Which I think is much worse. Am I alone?

I wouldn't like my kids to say any of those words, but I would use them maybe three or four times a day myself...
