your life can be flipped upside down in a second.

I hope it all works well for him.

h was in hospital for 3 days and we just received the bill.

He could have stayed in a swanky hotel for less.

mummylin2495 · 15/08/2009 23:02

No such thing as free medical care or education here.

Tn0g · 15/08/2009 23:06

There is a medical card for people who can't afford costs but it's hard to get one.

mummylin2495 · 15/08/2009 23:06

i not sure where i is ,but he says its very nice,i suppose f its the nearest to where he lives then it would be

mummylin2495 · 15/08/2009 23:07

Tn0g · 15/08/2009 23:08

Hospital staff are generally absolutely wonderful aren't they?

mummylin2495 · 15/08/2009 23:08

and you have to pay for ALL medical costs ? god tha must put a strain on people .so what happens if they have no card and no money ?

Tn0g · 15/08/2009 23:09

Ho oh you have to buy their school books, copy books pay an arts and crafts levy.

It's hard if you have a big family.

Tn0g · 15/08/2009 23:10

eh....you die.

I don't know most people I know and ourselves have medical insurance - VHI.

mummylin2495 · 15/08/2009 23:12

oh yes they are ,they all deserve medals for what they do and what they have to put up with .Tha reminds me dd had a letter from the hosp about the job.The job that she went for and thought she had got ,is no longer available .They have put her on a waiting list ,so we were pleased to know that a least there was nothing that was actually wrong about her if you see what i mean .The job simply asnt there anymore ,so i reckon hopital were told theycouldnt pay any more money for staff or soemthing like that

Tn0g · 15/08/2009 23:12

The national health service a fantastic thing

worth fighting for if they ever try to do away with it.

Tn0g · 15/08/2009 23:13

How did she take the news that she hadn't got it?

Tn0g · 15/08/2009 23:14

< national health is a fantastic thing >

mummylin2495 · 15/08/2009 23:15

oh my god ,what a lot we take for granted over here ,i cant imagine having to buy school books.I know our nhs gets a lot of stick but i have t dsay that myself and my family cant fault i,we have always been treated well. The trouble is the news that is reported is always negative ,never all the good that they do

mummylin2495 · 15/08/2009 23:17

well once she realised that it wasnt anything to do with her she was fine ,and the fact that they have put her on a list made her feel better too.ITs all to do with the reccession i suppose

mummylin2495 · 15/08/2009 23:17
