Would anyone consider sponsoring me a small amount for the Race For Life?? (I have no sponsors!)

Sorry to ask.. cheeky I know when there are, no doubt, quite a few of us doing it, but I have no sponsors yet. Will get some from family but they are always sponsoring my kids for different things at school so I can't expect much.

If I could write a few people down for having sponsored me a pound I would be very I am doing the Herne Bay event on 17th July.

Just thought.. I need to prove this really don't I? Or I could be just asking for donations to the SleepyJess Fund! How can I prove I am doing the run? (I will very probably walking it actually due to my levels of extreme unfit-ness!! )

Sleepyjess, yes I have a page I think this will link to it mypage I have done a lot of fundraising and my total now sits at £1903! Lots still to be added to page,as sitting as cash at home. It does feel good to do this doesn't it.

Wow Dee!! Fantastic total! Where did you get all the sponsors from??! I was feeling a bit guilty for keep bumping this tread as somebody commented the other day that MN might not be the place to 'canvass' but I so want to raise as much as possible and it does feel good to be doing so. And nobody is obliged after all are they?

I did a huge drop to everyone on my Christmas card list, and then did to neighbours etc, have a raffle going with donated prizes and am selling the raffle tickets to people at ds1's school. The problem is I had to raise £1500 minimum in order to be allowed to walk! I think it is fine to tell people about what you are doing, and then it is upto them whether they donate or not.
