Anyone else watching? First impressions, very much like Phil Tufnell, Wayne Sleep and Danniella Westbrook. Fash is winding me up, and I haven't made my mind up about the others.

Now you see, if Catalina had a ds that was waking up at 5.30 she would have seen Crocfiles on discovery kids with mad Aussie Steve explaining the difference between fresh and saltwater crocodiles, and she would have known that they wouldn't have touched her....

how my life has changed

Claireandrich · 30/04/2003 20:59

Breeze - Catalini may have been voted for so that the male population could see her in just her bikini???? Just a thought.

I think Phil Tuffnell is a bit of a dickhead. Sorry all those who like him! He seems to be trying a bit too hard to be Mr Funny. And how old is DW? She looks about 312.
I thought it was funny when Chris Bisson fell over. And when Wozza nearly got hit on the head by that enormous coconutty thing.

emsiewill · 30/04/2003 22:28

Yes, I agree, Daniella could be any age from 3 to 300. And she said she'd never been away from her kids / husband, but where were they when she was in detox?
And isn't Fash annoying - he thinks he's the king already.
I like Phil - he's funny in a kind of way.
Dh was very indignant about what they put Wayne through - he thought it was just too much.
A selection of my random thought

Demented · 30/04/2003 22:42

I chose to watch this tonight over ER, now is that sad or what? I didn't tape ER as I won't have any time to watch it over the next few days. I don't think DW is any older than 30 which is scary, just goes to show what drugs can do to you (I believe also a car accident and major plastic surgery wouldn't have helped). I hope she does well though as I think she deserves it.

bells2 · 01/05/2003 07:44

I watched this for the first time last night. Who was it that Daniella, Wayne and Sian complaining about in terms of having big ego's and not being themselves etc?

SoupDragon · 01/05/2003 08:09

Esiewill, I only saw about 5 minutes of this but I got the impression DW did detox at home with minders. I may have misunderstood though.

SoupDragon · 01/05/2003 08:09

Emsiewill, not esiewill. Doh!

jodee · 01/05/2003 08:39

I swore I wouldn't get sucked into watching this programme but too late, I'm already hooked - I was watching a bit of it live this morning on ITV2 before ds insisted Nick Jr be put on instead!

Catalina can stop that pouting for a start!

quackers · 01/05/2003 09:09

I think Daniella was on about the pouting Catalina and possibly Wozza for taking over thoe cooking. I think Wayne did really well with those rats and Fash was a rat for saying he did crap. Poor Wayne couldn't find the keys. They were abit too well hidden I think.
I am now as addicted to Celebrity as I am Mumsnet- oh dear!

Meid · 01/05/2003 09:25

Aren't the British public cruel to vote Fash for the next Bushtucker? We all saw how nervous he was crossing that bridge a couple of days ago.... should make entertaining viewing tonight - I'm hooked!

Jasmum · 01/05/2003 09:28

i too have to confess to taping lasts nights as dp wanted to watch crimewatch & as he hates things like this I thought it may earn me brownie points for the next couple of weeks viewing. I know it's crap but I do find it amusing, a bunch of C list celebs (or lower)...Fash is sooo boring, Danny is right on the edge, Sian too fake for me & can someone tell me if Wayne is gay?

quackers · 01/05/2003 09:59

You mean you can't tell?? He's a lovely guy, I could really warm to him but he likes his toast buttered the other side!! Go Wayne!!

Nutjob · 01/05/2003 10:05

Meid - Call me unkind, but Fash has been such a twat over the last few days, with comments such as 'Toyah's not a natural leader, her first action was to make me her deputy', and the way he tried to portray himself as something of a hero because he helped Phil and Sian find their way back from the toilet, I think he deserves to do the trial. And it should be great viewing!!

Meid · 01/05/2003 10:08

Totally agree Nutjob - I think we all want to see him crack up on the bridge and not be the big man he thinks he is.

Scatterbrain · 01/05/2003 10:14

Sorry but I just cannot like Fash - don't you remember how he disowned his little brother Justin when he came out, and poor Justin subsequently killed himself (I think !!!).

Not a very nice man !!

Kyliebump · 01/05/2003 10:37

I really can't stand Wayne Sleep!! Did he take his tap shoes in as a luxury item so that he could show off every night??!! Is it just me??

Also thought that Daniella, Wayne and Sian were talking like a group of silly kids who'd just discovered the 'F' word!!

donnie · 01/05/2003 11:39

I agree scatterbrain, Fash is a bit up his own botty and sees himself as a natural born leader !!!! I loved hearing Sian saying 'fuck' like a naughty schoolgirl, what a laugh!!!!My current faves are Danniella, Wayne and Phil who makes me laugh. Toyah is a bit creepy ( did you all know she got herself sterilised in her early 20s ?) and that Catalina thing - what and who is she ?????? where did she get that bottom lip from, Toys R us???? and Chris Bisson is boring in the extreme but clearly reckons himself, silly boy!!!! can't wait for the cat fights to commence......how sad are we ???

janh · 01/05/2003 12:40

Saw it for the first time last night - I thought Wayne was a complete hero with the rats and Fash was a total prat, I loved Ant/Dec's comment about him not being a hero with his little citronella candle! ("They might have fallen into a hole"..."I could tell Sian was hysterical"

Is it supposed to be well-known that he has vertigo? If so, GO the great British public!

janh · 01/05/2003 12:40

Smiley not intended!

Dahlia · 01/05/2003 13:16

I love Wayne Sleep. Hope he wins. Those rats nearly broke his glasses - I thought he was really brave, I would have wee-ed my pants and screamed hysterically and fainted.
And that's before I even got in the cage.

quackers · 01/05/2003 13:39

Totally agree Dahlia - well said. He got back to camp and didn't moan about loosing his glasses or not being able to find the keys, he just said he felt useless. H'e s a pro.

Fash well - Trash! What a woosy! Quick to critisise evryone else. He will get his comeupance tonight! He gets my vote out any time!

Marina · 01/05/2003 13:54

Um, Donnie, I think Toyah took the decision not to have children while still young because she has some kind of gastro-intestinal chronic condition which has worsened as she got older. Agree about her seeming really quite weird on the show though...I'm not sure who I want to win but am very frustrated that we can't vote for Ant and Dec to have waffles tied to their groins etc. I didn't see the last series so am new to these little eejits and find them massively more annoying than anyone else on the show, even Anthony W-T. I'd get no meals if my bush tucker challenge involved spending more than 5 mins in their company. Give me nightcrawlers in preference any day.

Jaybee · 01/05/2003 13:58

Also agree re. Fash - well up his own ar*e. Who is he to criticise Wayne - he woosed out at two rats on the first challenge. It took him ages to even get to the challenge due to is height fear - so today should be funny!! The way he over-hypes himself really bugs me - first challenge is a prime example - he told the others that these massive animals were put into his pants - errr bugs into plastic contraption over pants!!!
Think he should go!!
Although the cynic in me can't help think the challenges are fixed to boost ratings - person required for croc swim - surprise babe in a bikini wins. Person required for high up walk - surprise person with vertigo wins!!
