Brilliant So good to hear. Are you going to have one a week, or cram them all in?

misdee · 30/04/2005 19:29

they recommend a minimum of 2hrs a week. have to make sure i can get same day, same hour slots (to get a babysitter)and am going to try for 3+ lessons a week.

its brilliant as atm, am spending anything upto £60 on fuel to put in my dads car so i can go and see dh and cant afford my lessons at the same time.

What is the family fund? Is it just for your family, or can anyone apply?!!!

Wallace · 30/04/2005 19:34

Doing 3+ lessons a week you will probably come on so quickly that you will do it in even less than 30 lessons

misdee · 30/04/2005 19:40

flobble flobble, its a organisation who helps with things for disabled children. my dd's have various allergies and require hospital appointments which arent local, and as my dh cannot drive for 6months due to have an ICD fitted, i asked for driving lessons so i'm not completely reliant on other people and the sh*te public transport with 3 kids.

Thanks for explaining! I was wondering if meant you had some ancestral trust fund! Good luck with the lessons - are you going to book up for a test straight away?

misdee · 30/04/2005 19:47

will wait for 1st lesson and then hopefully book test for june/july time.

aLWAYS good to be able to show off to the kids

Loobie · 30/04/2005 23:47

misdee i dint use bsm as i had already started lessons with an instructor before i heard back form the FF but they agreed to pay the independant instructor cause i suffer from anxiety and depression so would have found it hard to swap over to bsm and a new instructor.

I was so upset after recieving Family Fund in the past, I was refused this time due to being about £200 over the £25,000 limit just becuase we have started to get a very small amount of housing benefit!
