Curious-what accent will dd have?

Ok, it really DOESN'T matter but I'm curious...

Dh and I are both Scottish, although we don't have very broad accents (west coast-me/Glasgow-dh). She goes to nursery 2 days a week. We live in South West England and plan to bring dd up here- will she have Scottish/English or mixed accent?

She's only 15 months but I'm already listening carefully to her words!

My kids have a mixture of accents, I'm from Staffs, dh is from Dartford. Sometimes they sound quite posh as they have my non interesting accent, but with dh's barth and glarss bits added.

Sometimes they come out with a Brummie accent as both there teachers are from there. My ds favourite saying at the moment is 'youre losin your marbles woman' in a strong brummie accent.

However when we visit Dartford, they then adapt to that accent, quite talented my kids

My friend, altho yorkshire born, has a posh accent acquired during her 3 years at Oxford. Her dh has a good upper scottish accent. they live in a lovely (fairly smart) cambridgeshire village, but their oldest daughter speaks very estuary english, as that is how their first nanny spoke.

I find it fascinating to spend time with them all (hope my friend hasn't become a mumsnetter).

Hmm, interesting. My mother is from Wigan - no accent at all, father was from Liverpool - mild Liverpool accent. I was brought up in Liverpool (outskirts) - do not have a particularly strong Liverpool accent and would be berated by father if tried to acquire one. Daughter brought up in South Manchester and does not have as strong a local accent as her peers.

On a slight tangent Tony Blair's estuary dropping of the final t's really annoys me! (tha', wha' you wan' etc etc) It's as if he is trying to hide his real accent as he hasn't always done it. When giving a 'serious' interview he doesn't do it.
