The Welsh language sounds beautiful as does the Welsh accent. I was mortified when returning to England my daughter lost her Welsh accent.

I personally love listening to the Welsh language, in fact I'm quite fascinated by other languages in general. It's some regional English accents I have a problem with (yes, including mine sometimes, when I get lazy and drop my telephone voice and slip into Sarf London speeek, innit?) I do tease my husband though - he was born and bred in Swansea and lived there til he was 17, he has now spent more than half his life in London, but he doesn't know a single word of the Welsh National anthem which I think is shocking!
