Has anyone done the Move Up numeracy test?

I am upgrading my numeracy skills as i am doing a degree. The government now offer everyone the chance to do numeracy or literacy to GCSE standard.
I did a test at work to see what level I am at, and apparently I got the first question wrong

the first question involves counting people in a drawing. i counted 7 when there were 9
Anyone else do this?
Thye rest was fairly easy, except the last question, which was working out exchange rates, I just got a mental block.

Hi purepurple - Please - help me out here. I would LOVE to do a midwifery degree and my m'wife spent half an hour at my last appt trying to convince me to do it, but I don't have enough gcse's or a levels to get on the degree, mainly because I totally slacked at school . And because I rush and get mental blocks

I would like to try the test you have just done, can you post a link??? Please???

Thanks pp I just did the numeracy test and it said I was ok to go in at level 2??

Still not sure if its worth me doing this tho - I have 1 gcse @ c grade, 7 @ D grade and, 3 @ e grade. No a levels and to do the degree I need 5 gcse's at c and 2 a levels. The degree will take 3 years. I have 3 children under 5 and another due in august at the moment I am a sahm.

Do you think I should do it?????

Think I'm going to need advice on this one..

gosh, you have got a lot on your plate haven't you!

there is nothing wrong with planning for the future though

in ten years time you could be practising as a midwife, having done all your qualifications in stages

by that time your children will be older and won't need you as much

plus, you can get help with childcare while studying

but, it would be best to get some professional advice as to what qualifications you will need and how to fund it

Thanks pp, I think i'm going to do just that.

Good luck with your degree!!
