I have my driving test coming up in 2 weeks time and am naturally quite nervous. I know I am capable but am worried nerves will get the better of me and I will panic and mess up. Someone has suggested Kalms, but I've never tried them and am not sure if they are effective, I think there is some sort of drops you can get that are meant to have a similar effect. Any suggestions?

I felt exactly the same in 2007 and i have anxiety attacks.I even went to my GP begging for drugs of some sort,i was refused.I just took Rescue remedy (probably too much)and i passed without too much panic tbh.
I found that mentally afirming positive words and imagining myself passing helped.
Oh and someone on here told me to wear Green,White and Blue as lucky colours.

Bach's flower remedies - come in a little brown bottle with a yellow label.

I failed four tests with spectacular crapness - I put most of it downs to nerves. The 4th time I made such an utter tit out of myself infront of this female testing lady - blubbing and babbling on. Got the same person for test 5 and I was so emabressed I pretended to be a totally different person in the hope that she wouldn't rememmber me. I 'pretended' to be confident. It actually worked really well. I don't think I drove that much better than the last times, I just came across as confident and that made me look safe. So, if you can't be confident, just try very hard to pretend to be, focus on that instead of anything else. It might work for you too.

You can get beta blockers from teh GP.

DP has had pupils which have been prescribed them. You do need to get them a week or 2 before your test though as you need to take a "test dose" to ensure that it is the right dose for you as people vary in their responses.

I liked Kalms too (haven't taken them for ages as it was over 5 years ago that we first TTC - blimey that's a long time ). Don't know if it's placebo effect, but I rather like the fact that they're made from hops.
