A few weeks ago i had a card from post to say that we weren't in and had a letter that needed to be signed for. Tbh I had forgotten about itbut today they redelivered it. dd opened it as it was adressed to her and in it were someones passports, payslips, bank statements, and a few other things also a letter stateing that this person needed all her documentation back so that hoousing benefit could be sorted or she would be homeless.

dd rang ema and they said to post it back to them.

who do I complain to I think this is appalling thing to happen.

and should i be responsible for sending it back I would want it to be sent no less than recorded delivery and why should I pay for it. My feeling is that they should arrange a courier to collect and deliver to the person to whom the documents belong to.

we are in North wales and the other side of the party is in south wales.

Since you had all the information, couldn't you send it straight to the person who it belongs to? Send it recorded delivery, with a note and send the receipt to EMA.

I'm still waiting to hear that all our dcs identities have been duplicated/stolen since the loss of the child benefit discs anyway.

yes i could send it straight to the person but surely there must be someone you can complain to about these issues

I'm sure there is, but I'm sure she would want to complain more than you! I'm not sure what you could say to someone. Afterall, it's not really you that's be inconvenienced.

I'm not being rude btw, just thinking it ought to be her that does the complaining not you. I suppose you could contact the EMA customer services department, I assume they have one! They won't see any reason to apologise or do anything though, do you see what I mean! If you send it back to them, they will send it on to the lady, who will be non the wiser about where it's been. If YOU send it, with a note however, she'll know all about it!
