Hair products on toddler - am I just being mental?

My dd has lovely soft fluffy hair. On a good hair day it goes into little ringlets and she looks like a cherub. On a bad day she looks like a cross between Art Garfunkel and a burst couch.

Is is sensible/ethical/mental to think about combing FrizzEase through it on bad days to get rid of the loft insulation texture at the back of her head?

Moomin, she sounds just deliciously gorgeous .... bless! ... I have a DS so have no idea about hairproducts on kids but one day I might be able to have a little girl whose hair I can put in little bunches ..............

The funniest thing is that she gets her hair from her dad!! When I met him he had hair a la Michael Hutchence but had it cut when he became a bit too old to carry it off. When he was tiny he had a halo of white blond curls (as his mother never tires of telling anyone who'll listen)!

Moomin I use hair gel on my (almost) 3 yr old, because he has a lot of thick, straight hair that sticks up all over the place (especially first thing in the morning). I wet his hair first, put some stronghold gel in it and then comb it down. It dries very nicely and holds his hair in place all day. Sometimes I spike it up and that looks quite cute too... I don't think there's anything wrong with using hair products on them every now and again. I really just do it to make him look neat when we're going out.

I use conditioner on my kids hair, and wouldn't hesitate to use products like FrizzEase in my kids hair. I have a dd with this kind of 'bed head' hair, and end up using a bit of heavy duty conditioner.

My elder dd has dead straight blond, thick locks. I don't have to do much to her hair, but I do use conditioner if she has to do a job the next day (she does a lot of modeling). At shoots they use products too.

I have used Pantene shampoo and conditioner on my daughter's fine hair for as long as I can remember (well, since she's been old enough to make sure her head is well tipped back). It makes a huge difference to the state of her hair.

Surely frizzease is not much different to something like ?JOhnsons de-tangling lotion except that it may not be quite so gentle on the eyes if it is mis-squirted?
