***To those who responded to my FACEPAINTING QUESTIONS***

Hello again!
Sorry to be a pain, but if you answered my facepainting questionnaire earlier this week, would you mind answering a couple more questions? Please note: This is aimed ONLY at those who responded to the first set!

For those who said "NO" to the questions asking if you would book a professional facepainter to attend a child's/adult's party, could you please explain why you said no? This could be because you don't like the idea, you've already tried it, your children are too old, your adults wouldn't be interested...or any other reason at all

And to ALL who responded before, if you needed to book a facepainter (even if you don't ever expect to), how would you go about finding one? Where might you look? Who might you ask? Possible answers: school newsletter/noticeboard, newspaper, friends, online, phonebook, or anywhere else you think you might look.

Apologies for taking up more of your valuable MN'ing time, lol, you've been SO helpful and I really appreciate it!

Thank you once again x

Why wouldn't I book a professional facepainter for an child/adult party?

My children don't like face painting and aren't interested and besides that DS1 is too old now (he is 8.5yrs) and probably DS2 is getting too old too (he is 5.3yrs). I don't either of them would be able to sit still for long enough (boys!)

I wouldn't book one for an adult party as I am not interested and tbh I have never seen an adult with a painted face outside of somebody taking part in some sort of performance. I really don't believe any adult would want to do it for fun.

HTH!

I said I wouldn't book one for a children's party the main reason being my daughter is allergic.

However I would book one in conjunction with the drama classes/parties I work for. In fact I have booked someone to do a "Cats" workshop which includes face painting.

I might consider it for dd if they were to use my specified brand of stage make-up rather than face paints.

I really can't see any adult being interested in having their face painted.

To find someone I would probably ask around friends/colleagues. The person I have booked used to be a dancer in Cats and did make-up workshops as part of the tour education thingy.
