Do you smoke and drive?

Just following on from the mobile phone thread - will any of you here admit to smoking and driving?

I don't smoke, so not an issue for me !

I also like to keep my CDs on the floor in the passenger well and riffle around looking for another one to put on. LOL at the faces of other driviers when you disappear from view for 5 minutes!

My ban clears soon so I'll be legal again.

Not wanting to diminish your horrible experience, psychomum, but that's not something which is limited to driving while smoking. The fact is smoking anywhere could allow that to happen - it was the careless attitude of the smoker that was at fault, not the fact that he or she was smoking in a car.

Oh God psychomum5 - just read the post you're talking about, your poor DS and poor you, bloody hell, poor little mite.

Anyone ever tried snorting cocaine off the dashboard while doing 100 mph? It's a right laugh.

Oh and anyone who hasn't received oral sex while driving hasn't lived!

Good point there WWW. It is down to the evil smoker, rather than smokers in general. But I do still wonder about how people manage to smoke and drive. You can't exactly put down a cigarette, where as you can food.

i smoke in the car but no while im drivin id kill myself if i did, im far to dangerous as it is !!

there's nothing dangerous about smoking and driving - you can hold the steering wheel/gearstick and a fag at the same time.

Rolling a fag while driving is another matter though. As is lighting up on a bendm

i smoke and drive - i have to. if i didnt i would slap those mothers with kids in the back who turn away from looking at the road to tell them to do/ not to do/ pick something up/ hand something over to them, and nearly drive me off the road in the process.

you dont have to take your eyes of the road longer than tuning a radio or briefly turning to a passenger to acknowledge a comment - as most people do even if unconciously.

i dont see the difficulty in putting a ciggy out in the ashtray when driving - you dont have to even look to do this - whereas if you have a half eaten butty ont he passenger seat ( as i often do) and it falls off you do look then say "shit" or something similar - especially if it is a salady type dressing butty.
