CALLING LONDON CYCLISTS

Is it possible to cycle along the South Bank from Waterloo to Southwark Bridge or is it all pedestrian only? Am back to work in Jan, train getrs into Waterloo and am desperate, and I mean desperate, not to have to use the Waterloo and City. Office is in Cannon Street, have tried the buses up that way but takes FOREVER. Am a bit of a nervy cyclist so would like to go along South bank rather than busy roads if poss

I think it is pedestrian only. But I am not sure. You will be able to find out (I think) on the TFL journey planner website (untick all means of transport and tick cycle)

Sorry, I don't know as I get a nosebleed if I have to go South of the river.

There's a cycle journey planner on this link though. There are a lot more people cycling these days so it does feel safer than it used to (saftety in numbers). Just presume that all motorists are out to kill you and all pedestrians are about to leap, lemming-like into the road and you should be fine.

There are overground trains to london bridge then to cannon street, takes about 15 minutes if you time it right.

I suggest this as no one in their right mind would try to get on a commuter train with a bike, it's hard enough getting room to stand (assuming) that's what you are planning to do?

Does our employer have a Bike To Work scheme? Can save a lot of money that way as Bromptons aren't cheap.
