I think it is.

I'm only speaking personally, but when I got married it was for life.

I made vows and made promises and I can't turn my back on that.

Maybe for you that wouldn't be enough and perhaps going it alone would be better for you and the girls.

If you have any love left for dh I'd say stay and work through it all, but life is very complex and no one understands relationships better than the people involved.

Sometimes some attention is nice, but getting gifts would make me feel uneasy. Chit chat can be OK. I suppose each person decides when, how and to what extent you make you your own boundaries and now your decision is how close you let that other people get to them. Sorry no advise, but everyone would be tempted if you have had been having a hard time. You only have to read some MN threads. Its no unusual. Just say no, if you think it is all getting too much.
