I actually liked teh Lab gov when they came into power, but now I hate them and I hope they lose.

I suppose I should declare my hand and say that it seems to me (and I'm not well informed I admit) that the good outweighs the bad. And I still haven't forgotten what the tories did to this country.

Pushing through a bill using the parlimentary act which they've also spent most of their time in power discussing - hunting (I agree with the bill as it happens but not the way it was pushed through)

Failed to tackle the teaching, nursing and policing numbers adequately - they give us all these wonderful figures about how many 'new' x, y z's they've got - but convieniently forget to tell us how many have left

Blair telling ken livingston to apologise for being a prat even if he didn't believe it. It just epotomised his level of insincerity to me. It doesn't matter what you believe just tell the public what you think they want to hear.

1997 - said they wouldn't introduce unversity tutition fees but did anyhow

2001 - said they wouldn't introduced topup fees......... who's to say we can trust them on that?

1997 - Labour promised not to privatise the Tube - one year later they announced the privatisation of it.

It's an absolute scam. The "preferred bidder" system, whereby one company basically gets chosen before they've costed everything, gives poor value for money and turns out to be illegal, loads of new hospitals and schools have been late / smaller than planned / more expensive than thought etc.

Plus failure to renationalise the railways when privatisation clearly isn't working and they had the perfect excuse with the Railtrack thing. They say it'll be expensive, but it won't if they do it sensibly (i.e. just let the existing franchises lapse).
