bicarbonate of soda - mix to a paste, spread on, leave to dry, hoover up.

Bagpuss30 · 18/02/2005 08:35

If that fails, professional valet I think.

We had a sippy cup full of milk get lost under a seat in the car recently. When I eventually found it, a few weeks later, I tried to salvage the cup by washing it out. Big mistake. I almost puked the second I took the lid off because the smell was so bad. I threw it in the rubbish, but the whole kitchen smelled, even after I took the rubbish out.

So I can imagine the smell in your car ...

Ameriscot2005 · 18/02/2005 08:43

I did this once - took about a week for the smell to clear. I did attempt to clean it up with detergent and steam. After that, a daily dose of Febreeze seemed to do the trick.

Stopped off and bought Fabreze - made it worse. Now sick disguised with lemon bleach.

SoupDragon · 18/02/2005 08:48

It doesn't stink forever, the smell does go.

Enid · 18/02/2005 08:49
