I've just signed up for my first assignment as a mystery shopper and I'm now feeling a bit nervous about it all. Anyone else do it?

Hey, thanks for asking NewBarnsleygirl. It was fun! It was Bear Factory and my toddler had a great time. The report was pretty long and detailed. The hardest bit was remembering everyones names! Now I just have to get my money. I'd definately be up for signing up with other agencies too.

NewBarnsleygirl, can you give me more information about your ABA Arcadia group mystery shopping company please. I can't find a link on the Dorothy Perkins website.

That's what I was going to do but someone else took it

How good is that if you get to keep the teddy!

This is the website for them WWW.COUNTERINTELLIGENCEABA.CO.UK

I've registered with another company as well WWW.RETAIL-MAXIM.CO.UK

I've got to do a trial mystery shop with these just to make sure I can do their questionaire alright.

Let me know how you get on.

I'll CAT you thanks AQ.

Mystery shoppers. Please stop. In my job the bosses forget about getting customers through the door and moan at us every day about being perfect in case a mystery shoppers comes.
It's a total nightmare. I get home after every shift, stressed, tired and with a massive headache. Not sure how much longer I can cope.
Is it really worth me doing this job?
Bosses only care about mystery shopper results. The staff are falling apart but as long as we get a good score who cares?

I once had a mystery shopping assignment with a company called Maxim, I think?Confused

I had to go into Harvey Nichols and purchase the new, at the time, Laura Mercier powder and ask the sales assistant certain questions and then record what she said, what her appearance was like, did she offer to assist me first or if I had to ask her first, I then had to write about the product etc, etc.

The only downfall was that I assumed that they’d give me the money for the product first and they didn’t, I had to use my own money and then forward them my receipt and 5 working days later I got the cash back, I wasn’t working at the time so I was pretty skint and dying for the money to come through, I also felt conned because the advert said that I’d get £100 per assignment which is why I signed up and that was a lie, I only got the amount of the product, and the product of course and obvs Laura Mercier is a great brand.

It’s not a full time thing but it’s quite fun to do if you had another job.

I’m going to sign up again tbfGrin and it was this thread that made me want to so thanks op.

I wouldn’t get the sales assistants in trouble anyway, I would embellish the truth a little, if they were awfully rude for no teason then I’d say so, I’m an easy going customer and I’m always polite and friendly so fed not a problem client.
