Ignoring doesn't work for me - especially if a thread keeps bobbing up to the top of active conversations, so I hide, hide, hide.....do you?

What are your 'thread hiding' criteria?

yep, PT is right. Was trying to think of something non-perjorative to avoid a tangent, but you are spot on

PinkTulips · 04/08/2008 00:34

lol at expat.... hope i'm not on that list!

expatinscotland · 04/08/2008 00:35

no, PT

CaptFabioHiltsCatInTheCooler · 04/08/2008 00:39

lol expat
Let's push for a 'hide the posts of halfwits' option.
Actually that would blot out all of my posts....

thumbwitch · 04/08/2008 00:42

might make some of the threads a bit difficult to understand if half the posts are missing!

PinkTulips · 04/08/2008 00:48

most threads that have kicked off have that problem..... all the good bits vanish after 10 minutes to be replaced with 'message deleted' and you have to try and figure out what was said from the next 20 posts. it's infuriating tbh... delete the whole thread or delete nothing!

SueW · 04/08/2008 06:30

Thanks HughJarssss for that handy hint. Life will be so much easier now

WideWebWitch · 04/08/2008 08:03

I am, I hide the ones with violence/children being hurt in the titles or text.

OldGregg · 04/08/2008 08:30

I may have to hide all the ff/bf and blw threads. I never noticed them before as my children were older, but now I have a new baby, I find myself looking at them. And then getting the hell away.

There are far too many halo-wearers and, mark this!, I would rather ask my HV for advice.

Aero · 04/08/2008 22:11

hj - you are genius - thank you.

Twinklemegan · 04/08/2008 22:14

I don't, but I really should. Does anyone know if you can hide threads from Threads I'm On?!

PinkTulips · 04/08/2008 22:43

you can't but you can 'watch' the ones you want to keep seeing and just use watched treads instead, takes a bit of practice to remember to click watch thread every time you've posted though! you can just take them off your watched threads list then when your bored of them then

notnowbernard · 04/08/2008 22:48

I have hidden all ante-natal and post-natal

All that is not relevant to me (chickens, gardening - though sometimes fret I might miss out on some worldly insights into green living)

Anything 'For Sale' related

I hide individual threads, too, as they come up... horrible news stuff, same-old same-old stuff (feeding, weaning stuff you know is going to end up in a ruck)

thumbwitch · 04/08/2008 23:11

it would be nice to be able to hide some THreads I'm On when they kick off in a totally unnecessary/personal direction, or become a 2-3 person convo that no one else has a place in, but they're only there for a few days so it's not the end of the world.
