Hi we have just had a gorgeous wooden wendy house built for our 3 year old daughter in our back garden. It is quite big and has an upstairs too. I just wondered if anyone has any ideas as to what to have inside it.
Also what to have outside as it as a verander. I'm going to have plant pots a wind chime and she has a peter rabbit and jemima puddleduck for the front from past times. I was wondering about firy lights for the evening?
I'd be rally greatfull for any ideas to make it fun for her. Thanks.

Oo er when I was wee my wendy house was made of fabric!

could the verandah fit a little swing on it?

missblythe · 27/07/2008 19:40

Oh, this brings me back! My Dad built me a wendyhouse with an upstairs when I was 6.[nostalgia]
Have to say, his abiding memory of it was the day he was supposed to be looking after my dsis and her friend and started to panic when they were nowhere to be found in our house and all he could find were their clothes! He then noticed footprints in the snow and found my dsis and her friend both stark naked in the wendy-house!

Am I missing a link to pics of yours mummyloveslucy? There's a pic of my dd's on my profile.

We have put soft flooring down like this. Inside there is a kitchen, and built in is a huge blackboard and a fold down table.

We haven't yet got round to planting the windowboxes, and curtains are waiting until she's a bit older/I learn to sew!

mummyloveslucy · 27/07/2008 20:20

Hi, no there is no link with pictures. My camera is broken and I wouldn't have a clue how to do it anyway. I could try to do a link to the website.

you could fit about 10 of ours in thjere i swear!

mummyloveslucy · 27/07/2008 20:54

I'm only jocking,

When we were looking for a wendy house for our daughter, we came accross this sight and my Husband and I had a laugh about it saying that any other wendy house will look pants in comparason.
We couldn't believe our eyes!! I'd love it if I had the money, and space. But I doubt my daughter would like it any more than the one she has.

It's a one off and still for sale for £28k.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/07/2008 20:56

Oh lol! (Cross posted)

Misdee - you can bring the girls round to play over the summer if you like .

Hulababy · 27/07/2008 20:56

Thank goodness for that! IThe hall is absolutely amazing, but £28k for a playhouse is pushing it for anyone surely?!

CSWS's house is wonderful isn't it? Seen it before on her profile and it looks fab.

mummyloveslucy - think you are right; sure your DD loves her house as much as any.

mummyloveslucy · 27/07/2008 20:58

misdee- don't worry, I think this is definatly one for the rich and famous. Our wendy houses are sweeter than that one, and more appealing to little people.

csws, they'll only come if they can bring supersoakers

seriously, i may take you up on that offer. though you may have a headache at the end of it. dd2 gabs for england. she will tellyou her whole life's story.

misdee · 27/07/2008 21:00

ours is like this

have ordered paint for it, so by the end of the holidays it will be cream and blue. dd3 practically lives in it.

mummyloveslucy · 27/07/2008 21:02

cantsleepwontsleep- gosh you are observant. You didn't fall for it then ??

OP posts:
mummyloveslucy · 27/07/2008 21:04

Oh good, I'm glad you have decided to paint it. Does your Husband know yet?

OP posts:
misdee · 27/07/2008 21:07

yup. he was l;ookingt on wilkinson website and needed to order a certain amount of stuff to use a voucher he had, so i whacked paint onto the order to make up the figuires lol. was cheaper than b and q. plus means i dont have to walk round to the shop to get the paint lol.

am going to do it o na slightly cooler day than it has been lately.

lovelysongbird · 27/07/2008 22:17
