Good magazines - what do you read?

I just got a leaflet offering me 50% off subscription to Eve magazine, which I have only read once - when ThomCat was in it . Flicked through the leaflet and it looked a bit "young" for me

I don't have a regular read, magazine-wise, any more - used to read Cosmopolitan avidly but since having kids it doesn't seem relevant to me any more (is it still how to find and keep your man, have multiple orgasms and blast your way through that glass ceiling?)

I quite like Junior, but find some of the articles disturbingly misinformed, and the designer children's clothes are ridiculous. I used to like She and Red (is that still around?) I don't think I'm quite ready for Family Circle and Women's Weekly so what shall I try next?

I need to find the next stage in my magazine reading life: so far I have read Pippin, The Beano, Twinkle, Just Seventeen, Cosmopolitan....and now my regular read is the Radio Times.

Wow www, your list makes me feel soooo much better
I didn't mention my (whispers) heat , now and closer addiction!
Admitting to the occasional good housekeeping feels so naughty!

I used to have a crippling magazine habit but have pretty much weaned myself off them

Will now and again buy Glamour but really am too old and staid for it. Sex tips are pretty pointless when you don't have sex...hehehehe. Haven't read Cosmo in donkey's years, either. Ummm, I do still quite like Marie Claire and have a soft spot for Vanity Fair and Private Eye. Apart from that it's gastro-porn and the British Journal of Midwifery for me! (I'm 31, btw)

I really like Red (and I like the things in Red Direct too, I'm obviously v. extravagant ). I quite like Eve but not as much as Red- I would have guessed that Red was aimed at an older market than Eve, strangely.

Crunchie, I wonder if you know my SIL? (she says enigmatically)

Spykid, I probably buy Star as well, just didn't know what it was called as all the titles of those celeb mags merge into one! Should cut it down really, you've read one, you've read 'em all. Glad my shallow choice of reading material cheers you up my mag habit is quite bad!

well I'm the next generation but find Woman and Home and Good Housekeeping good reads they're aimed at 30 and upwards. They usually include recipes, holiday ideas, health news, house make overs/readers homes, fashion, celebrity info, life stories, Helen Lederer writes a column in one of them, I forget which - I started to find Cosmo, Marie Claire et al always ran the same theme - get a better life and a better sex life!
