Help needed please

i need some advice or opinion on whether i should move.

I moved away from my home town 5 years ago. Recently in 5 weeks I gave birth to my son who’s stillborn, my granddad passed and now we are getting evicted.

my dad has offered us to move in with him back in my home town which is 4hrs away. Which means moving our whole entire lives. Apart of me wants to but I also feel like where I live now is home. There’s been alot of trauma in this area with escaping dv etc but I’m not sure if I should move back home

if I stay here and I get help from the council we will have to temporarily rehome my dogs which I think will affect the kids. But I’m worried moving them schools and out of their familiar area will affect them although they are 6,4 and 3.

I’ve never felt so conflicted in my life 😭

Based on your update I'd say go for it then. So new partner- would he come too? Is this why you are conflicted?

No I’ve been with my partner 18 months and was friends before. He’s actually all for moving lol thinks it would do us all the world of good. I’ve just become so used to this place and now with the meningitis outbreak I’m scared lol basically moving from Exeter (Devon) to Kent. I’m freaking out about how good the hospital is as my son requires care, how I’m going to cope with moving. I’ve got so used to this place but I’ve also experienced so much trauma 😭 and always seem to be gravitating towards Exeter. But I can’t say I’m 100% happy as I only have my partner really.

Can’t you move in with your dad, but remain on the housing register in Exeter? Not sure how it works if you’re out of area. Just thinking rather than accepting emergency accommodation in Exeter, just stay on this list until something suitable comes up and then move back?

Or go on the housing list in Devon, and then look to swap to Exeter in the future?

Unfortunately if I move with my dad the council won’t help :(

My vote is definitely to move, with your update. The meningitis outbreak will be contained soon. It won't be like covid. The hospitals in Kent are fine. My GD was born in one and they were excellent.

I can understand your fear. I think there's a bit of trauma bonding going on with the area.

That’s what my partner says he fears it’s trauma bonding more than actual wanting to be here. Life seems so scary at the moment. Thank you for listening to me I really appreciate it you’ve really made my day just by your little act of kindness. X

You are welcome 💐

May I ask what hospital you had experience with in Kent? I think the closest is William Harvey for us
