Swollen Lymph nodes

I was wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this or has any advice. A bit of a long one so do apologise. Basically for a while I have noticed a flare up of my left lymph node behind my ear it usually only popped out when I was coming down with a cold or something. However for the past 2 ish weeks I’ve noticed it’s hard and not moving , but doesn’t really feel like a lump but it’s behind both ears in the same place and it isn’t going down but isn’t getting any bigger. I had my hair dyed a few weeks ago and had a massive reaction (not sure why as it’s the same stuff I’ve always used) this kind of concerns me as well as it’s the 2nd time it’s happened , not in a row though. Anyways , my scalp has been really itchy and since September last year behind my ear has flare ups of being really itchy too. Anyway so I have both they ones. Now on Friday there I noticed I now have have a swollen supraclavicular lymph node , this one moves around and is small. Both behind the ears and this one can’t be seen from the outside , only when I feel for them so there is no noticeable swelling on the outside. I have however had a sore throat since Thursday so I’m not sure if this could be causing this or not. I’m at my wits end worrying , everything on google suggests cancer or lymphoma. I am going to call my GP first thing but I was looking for some re assurance or advice really. Overall I am healthy don’t have any other symptoms. I have also got a medicated shampoo to try ease the scalp. Thanks

Also to add , I’m stuck between well both sort of have an explanation due to scalp issues and sore throat but at the same time having them at the same time is it a coincidence??

I've had a swollen lymph node below my left ear for three years following two episodes of shingles in quick succession. My GP said sometimes the lymph nodes swell up and don't go back down in size. I was sent for a scan as a precaution but the scan didn't determine what it was. It will reduce in size temporarily but then goes back to the size it's become (but never larger.) Last year I had cancer screening which happily came back negative so I know it's not cancer. Interestingly, I've not had shingles since though occasionally I do still get a tender, slightly itchy scalp which was one of the symptoms, (no shingle blisters or feeling wiped out though.) You may have a mild form of shingles?

Thanks so much for your reply. Is yours still soft and rubbery or is it more fixed now ?

You're welcome. It's hard and fixed and doesn't move at all.
