People who give stupid advice

As the title suggests, has anyone else noticed unrealistic/condescending/downright insulting advice given? Sometimes not asked for. Just a quick disclaimer, I am aware some people mean well. So please don't chew me up.
Yesterday, I was reading the local news on Facebook about this elderly man who is in the process of being evicted. Many of the comments seemed to sympathise with the landlord and lay blame at the older guy. They were along the lines of: "he should have got social housing in the first place instead of renting privately", or "why doesn't/didn't he just buy his own property?". Surely, most people are aware of the housing situation at the moment.
Also, a few years ago, there was a young woman who committed suicide after years of being unemployed. On the Daily Mail comments most people were sympathetic. However, one doughnut had the EQ to say, " being as she had all that time, why didn't she just go travelling?".
Even on Mumsnet, so many posters seem quick to say "LTB" or "stop complaining and just get a better job". Things aren't that easy.

A lot of people are just arseholes having fun at others’ expense. The advice to just go travelling if you’re unemployed is obviously a wind-up. Not worth wasting a second of your time even engaging with this sort of thing.

The internet is full of angry and unstable people spouting all sorts of shite for bizarre reasons of their own.

And even IRL the people who most love to give advice are often in no position to do so.

@VoltaireMittyDream in the case of the person suggesting going travelling, I personally believe it was well intentioned. But still very unrealistic
