HPTKO would that be the one beginnig with P?

Southampton is likely any other place has it good and bad places. I like where we live we have every thing we need, not far from shops, forest and the coast. Moved from the midlands 15 years a go so must be good!

Maybe Eve !

I agree, there are bad parts of Southampton (Shirley Warren, Millbrook, St. Marys), like with any city, but you just don't go there.

Eve34 · 28/05/2008 22:04

Depends if it is my night off or not he he.

Squirdle · 28/05/2008 22:13

Squirdle · 28/05/2008 22:14

Oh and Helllllooooooo Eve

Squirdle · 28/05/2008 22:15

House prices here are a bit silly though. We have no money because of the mortgage

Anchovy · 28/05/2008 22:22

I went to St Anne's in Southampton which always used to be well thought of, although my experience was so long ago as now to be irrelevant!

Portswood wasn't at all lovely when I lived there! Nice big houses but all filled with students. My house in Portswood was horrid.

Squirdle · 29/05/2008 22:05

But moving from London to Winchester makes Wimchester seem very rural....Greenwich aint very rural! I love Salisbury though, just seems lovely and clean.

I guess lots of people move to Winchester from London because the commute into London is easy.

Squirdle · 29/05/2008 22:06

Oh and Eve, the boys are good thanks tis half term though so I am frazzled! How is J?

twinmumabi · 29/05/2008 23:07

Hamble nice, good school, but worry about Fawley fallout! Other side of the water nicer because you're om edge of New Forest and no more expensive e.g. Hythe, Marchwood, or Totton, all got good schools.

taipo · 29/05/2008 23:15

Well, I would say Romsey but I spent half my life trying to get away from there.

The Waitrose there is rather splendid though

A friend of mine lives in Totton which is quite pleasant.
