Hey everyone, i’ve had rosacea for a couple of years now, its getting worse but it is mainly on my nose, its not anywhere else on my face, my nose is so sore, spotty and looks nearly purple for how red it is, not sure why its flaring like this but i don’t even want to leave the house, i think mine is triggered by hormones as when i was pregnant my son commented on my nose saying ‘its nearly the same colour as the rest of your face’ it was the only time i’ve seen it pink in years lol im currently using ivectermin cream, i’ve been told azealic acid is good aswell for the redness.. also any good reccomendations for a good coverup? My nose is always flaking and feels oily aswell but the rest of face isn’t so unsure whats good and whats not.. added a photo so you can see what im dealing with, thanks for reading xx

Ask the GP for Oxytetracycline - I've just had a 3 week course and for the first time in my life my nose is clear when it looked liked that for years!

I used to get rosacea, it doesn’t seem nearly as bad nowadays.
azaelic acid helped a bit, a course of Lymecycline cleared it up (temporarily). Using a good facial sunblock is important.

Theres a treatment called soolantra (I think) which some have found helpful. It’s not a nice thought but apparently the underlying cause of rosacea can be demodex mites, which this targets. I’m not sure but I think my rosacea might have improved around the time my old dog started being treated for ticks etc with Bravecto rather than Frontline.😬

I used Rosex from GP twice a day for 8 weeks it’s so much better. I looked like you too for years as thought it couldn’t be cured.

HYPO21 skin spray. Completely natural and pretty much cleared mine in 3 weeks after I’d tried everything else (soolantra, changing my diet, dermatologist, 3 months of antibiotics). I use it daily now and even while pregnant again, which is what caused it to flare up in the first place 5 years ago, it’s been under control.

I have used Clinique 'Redness Solutions' foundation for years as I have quite high colour and eczema, very sensitive skin. It's amazing.

Solantra every night for weeks after a thorough cleanse with Garnier gentle cleanser.. I also bought new pillows and use sunscreen every day..
Mine wasn't as bad as yours tho so maybe a trip to the drs first?
