Probably tv and landline.

I listen to more radio than watch tv

If you have a mobile if you were really skint you could probably ditch the landline.

Couldn't be without the computer and t'internet!!!

Albert · 23/05/2008 01:35

I agree with wrinkly, TV and landline.

nappyaddict · 23/05/2008 01:39

ok what if you only had a landline or a mobile phone - then would you ditch either?

OP posts:
wrinklytum · 23/05/2008 01:43

Blimey NA,ive gotta sleep

LOL I suppose given that choice,it would be ditch the landline,as if you had a fancy-pants mobile phone it would connect to the t'internet and you could watch tv on it etc etc

lol Why d'you ask???

nappyaddict · 23/05/2008 01:45

oops sorry i meant if you only had one of the two would you get rid of it. never mind!

nappyaddict · 23/05/2008 01:48

Actually I probably couldn't live without tv-

NO CBEEBIES

Then I would actually have to interact with the dcs

I jest!!!

Alambil · 23/05/2008 11:16

A TV lisence only costs £12 a month - that's not a huge outgoing... could she cut down on her gas/elec/food bills before getting rid of these things?

I personally could only get rid of my mobile; I can't conceive of a life without telly/internet and I'd go stir crazy of an evening alone without either!

CountessDracula · 23/05/2008 11:17

I would get rid of TV and landline
You can still watch dvds etc

nailpolish · 23/05/2008 11:19

all except landline

TheBlonde · 23/05/2008 11:41

If you can watch TV on your computer instead you still need a licence I think

StealthPolarBear · 23/05/2008 11:42

rid of tv but would need radio
yes, need a licence if you watch tv on computer

nickytwotimes · 23/05/2008 11:42

i could live without my mobile.

if I was really skint, I guess I'd have to lose them all!

nailpolish · 23/05/2008 11:44

hmm if you still need a licence then watch dvds instead

or youtube

singyswife · 23/05/2008 11:47

Can she not see if she is on the best package for everything??? That might save her money, failing that, I would get rid of the mobile. Make sure everything is turned off after use. That saves a lot.

JodieG1 · 23/05/2008 11:49

You couldn't get the internet without a phoneline.

charliecat · 23/05/2008 12:24

If I had a land line and internet I would ditch the mobile.

orangehead · 23/05/2008 12:29

Couldnt ditch mobile, vital if car ever broke down at night

FAQ · 23/05/2008 12:32

When we were strapped with didn't ditch any of them - although we were on PAYG and the phones rarely got topped up/used.

I actually made money using the internet - as I sold stuff on ebay - couldn't have done that if we'd have ditched it.

Indith · 23/05/2008 12:32

depends what she uses things for and how much. Mobiles are pretty useful but don't have to be expensive. I spend maybe £5 a month on mine. If she is trying to get a job then internet sadly important as a lot is done online these days, ditto landline as a solid contact number. I bet there are plenty of other things she can reduce but I'd say TV is the least important (can always use i player and 4 od)

noddyholder · 23/05/2008 12:41

TV landline and internet could go but agree tv and landline would be first as i don't really need them

nappyaddict · 24/05/2008 19:48

i keep trying to tell her she doesn't need these things. she's borrowed money off me for 3 months now cos they've been short for bills and i can't help thinking shouldn't you be priorotising. bills and food are more important that the tv and the internet imo. whenever i've suggested they cut back on one of these things i get met with a "oh we couldn't possibly live without them"
