Do you ever wish you were always in contact with your toddler?

My kid just decided to sprint off at Disneyland the other week and for a second we didn’t know where they were and it was quite stressful!! Luckily my husband had slipped an AirTag in his pocket so we were able to find him quite quickly. But I just remember wanting to just ring him up and ask him where he was! I just think it’s odd I can’t always talk to my toddler when I want to. If they’re at friends or if they’re with my ex. But like I don’t want to give him a phone. Does anybody else ever feel the same?

I was 24/7 until DC wasn’t a toddler anymore 😆

Erm… apart from the occasional “oh god where are they” for five seconds or so, my toddler didn’t just swan off to their friends’ houses.

Toddler?

What?

Is your toddler 168 months old

If they are a toddler they probably can't talk, do you mean you wonder if you can read their minds? I sometimes do wish that. The hilariously bonkers things they come out with at about 3/3.5 when they suddenly realise they can share their thoughts and string more than a verb and a noun together. It's brilliant. Imagine having access to that at younger ages.

But no. Not really. If they are young enough that I'm not tearing my hair out then I pretty much AM always in contact with them probably full bodily contact if they have their way

When they are over about 3/4 I don't really consider them a toddler any more and honestly I am relieved to have a break and don't mind at all not being in bodily contact with them 24/7

You obviously don't have attention seeking children Grin

How did you manage to be a single mum
To a toddler and find a husband and get to Disneyland when I have a toddler and I can't even have time to wash my hair? (I am asking truly as I want to take notes not criticism)

No. Because I am not mad.
