Carpet moth infestation how to smoke bomb?

Hi, any advice on what to do would be ace! I live in a bungalow that has a wool carpet, that moths seem to love every year and come back. I’ve kept it under control but recently I haven’t been doing what I call a “Moth Hoover” as in going to the edges, lifting the carpet around the room. I’ve not been hoovering as much tbh and been really slack. I ordered a new wool carpet (stupidly) and it was at the wharehouse for ages and the guy got a moth infestation. Anyhow, he thought it was under control, so last week I took delivery of 2 wool carpets, one left in the living room one in the hall…I wondered if I could see eggs inside the roll… so have found out, I was probably right, it did have eggs or my moths have come back with a vengeance! One morning I killed 30 to 40 moths I’ve seen babies adults and larvae. It’s never been this bad ever! I’m hoovering I’ve bought a steamer which seems to be good. I’ve got Acana brand moth killer spray, adult male pheromone traps. I’ve got all my clothes bagged up in bin bags in plastic containers. I’ve got lavender and other strong homemade and shop bought moth deterrent essential oil sprays, I’ve sealed up the attic hatch. I’ve got moth killer paper strips in two wardrobes. And I’m working room by room to spray hoover steam etc. Annoyingly, two of the three bedrooms are used as family and my storage (as is the attic) and I’ve got so many boxes of crap I’m having to go through. But I’m getting it under control I think, but need advice re smoke bombing and when to do it carpet still in or carpet ripped out?

I’ve chucked the two new carpets. Im wanting laminate. I’m gonna rip this carpet out (as was always the plan), and get rid of the old 3 piece sofa, but my question is…..Do I set the smoke bomb/fogger off with the old carpet and underlay down still? So they are killed before I lift it up? Or do I rip out the old carpet, get rid of the old sofa and then set off smoke bombs? I’m worried if I raise the carpet while they’re still active, the eggs will fall down into my floorboards and then be harder to treat? So I was wondering if it was wiser to leave the carpet and sofa in place, do the smoke bomb and then remove them? The other concern is that, obviously family will be helping me remove the carpet and 3 piece suite and if they get any eggs or sticky larvae on their clothes it’s gonna go into their homes (so that’s why I thought maybe it was wiser to kill off what’s in the carpet and on the sofa then Lift them up to remove?). No one wants to take them in their car so I’m gonna get the council to collect, but I just need to know what I do.

I hate the idea of chemicals in the house, but it’s past a point, or else if it gets worse it’ll be a professional job with more gakky chemicals! I can’t seem to get any answers online. Also there is some carpet in the kitchen. I’m worried about all my appliances I’d pack up my grill toaster microwave etc but there still the oven hob the thought of chemicals in the sink/water supply and I’d probably have to move my fridge into the conservatory because it’s a better seal on the door. Is it safe to use a fogger in the kitchen!? There’s part carpet part Lino going on. So if anybody has got any ideas and advice I’d really appreciate your views! Cheers

I’ve had some success with microscopic wasps. I was dubious, but I now have hardly any moths (mine were clothes moths, but the wasps also work on carpet moths, apparently).

Following, as we have wool carpets and moths and we need to replace our living room carpet so I want to make sure they're gone before we do (don't want a non wool carpet).
