Just wanted peoples thoughts on Pfizer advertising a RSV vaccination for pregnant women on Mumsnet news letter. Made me angry to be honest, just wondered what other people’s reactions were?

What do you mean? A mumsnet promotion for the NHS's campaign to vaccinate pregnant women against RSV backed by Pfizer? Sounds fine.

Or are you in a different territory, perhaps the US and seeing an actual advert to make people go out and pay money for it?

It is against the law to advertise prescription-only medicines to the general public in the UK. Are you sure it was an actual advertisement?

It seemed like an actual advertisement, I’ve had another look and maybe they aren’t do anything wrong. Though I thought that they weren’t supposed to advertise to non health care professionals?
@UnstableEquilibrium theres not NHS link on it.

Can you post a picture of the relevant bit. I'm intrigued now.

They do use NHS in their referencing however it doesn’t appear to be a campaign with the NHS.

I have the email from mumsnet too. The links on it lead to the Pfizer site. There are some mainly .gov links at the bottom of the email too.

Although RSV is available as a private vaccine for some groups, pregnant women get it on the NHS free of charge.

It's encouraging women to protect their babies.
