Just curious, as I think I'd like a change...

What's so bad about Times New Roman? I would have thought it was pretty inoffensive.

edam · 04/05/2008 15:06

Tend to use Verdana but like Helvetica and Gill sans. Proxima Nova is v. good while Trebuchet is nice. Don't mind Times New Roman.

choufleur · 04/05/2008 17:27

i like gill sans absolutely detest comic sans - it should be banned. It doesn't look 'a bit like handwriting' and it's not easy to read.

also quite like trebuchet.

choufleur · 04/05/2008 17:28

if you're changing though earlybird you need to be careful as not all computers have the same font libraries and whatever you use will be converted to a defualt font if the recipient doesn't have whatever font you've used.

Earlybird · 04/05/2008 23:47

Good point choufleur. I hadn't thought of that possibility.

I like Peppa - Is it a new one - I'm sure I'd have noticed it - I think it's from Peppa Pig - could that be possible??

ConfusedMover · 05/05/2008 05:00

Arial for everything

ConfusedMover · 05/05/2008 05:01

...hate Times New Roman

wabbit · 05/05/2008 05:40

I'm a Times New Roman hater too...

I use Tahoma for work or Ariel for uni work and Comic Sans MS for mail and personal letters (I don't think it's a handwriting lookalikee like the Bradley font is it???)

DefinitelyNotMARINAWheeler · 05/05/2008 08:58

Gill Sans for everything possible, Verdana if Gill Sans is not available
Helvetica's OK too
Why Times New Roman continues to be offered is beyond me, it just shrieks "could not be arsed to change default", and often comes hand in hand with someone who has not bothered to change their printer settings from (US) Letter to A4 either
Monotype Baskerville is the only serif font I like...

ChippyMinton · 05/05/2008 09:37

Ooh, I've just peeked at my fonts (MS Works)and found a script one called Segoe Print, it's delicious.

SlightlyMadSweet · 05/05/2008 19:32

Oh yes I quite like Segeo too.
